My ex-wife and daughter have money in Merrils funds. They have not done good. Merril has been too conservative.

Theres a guy on the Dell thread who (I believe) is a former Merrill broker or district manager or something. If it wasn't Merrill, it was another firm - I don't remember. But anyway he has made about 40 million on Dell while other friends and family members of his have barely kept up with the market - during the entire time Merrill has been promoting Compaq over Dell, while at the same time the Merrill brokers have been buying Dell for their personal accounts, because anyone can see that Dell is the better investment.
