Some say that FDR knew about the attack on Pearl Harbor ahead of time and chose to let it occur. I don't quite buy that conspiracy, but it is apparent that our Signals intelligence apparently had some belief that an attack was possible.
It is not apparent whether that message reached the president for his analysis and decision. (would it not have been just as much an act of war on Japan's part had we set a deliberate trap for the Japanese fleet based upon that intelligence?)
Free trade.... Is is not an inherent constitution right that the only the United States congressm, and not the World Trade Organization of NAFTA secretariat, holds the power to regulate commerce with foreign nations? (Article 3, Section 8, Clause 3)??
Does not US involvement in NAFTA explicitly undermine our ability to protect the jobs and citizenry of the US from being undermined by foreign goods made by cheaper labor?
Hmmm... Seems to me that believing in free trade qualifies as supporting the subjugation of US sovereignty over its trade policies by international committees.
I also recall the same kind of conspiracy theories flying around about how "free trade" was a means of advancing the New World Order.

Btw, regarding the constitutionality of the FRB, there is nothing that prevents Congress from creating a private bank since Congress has the sole responsibility for coining money and determining the value thereof. The FRA was a congressional creation that created an accountable independent entity to perform those acts free from the manipulations of partisan politics. (Article 3, Section 8, Clause 5).
Btw, after reading this clause it would seem that the present day Department of Defense is unconstitutional since they have been funded for more than two years.
Clause 12: To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years;
Hmmm.... The army is unconstitutional? Interesting.
