I wonder if he's eating millet, which I gather is a staple there. You could make a song out of it: A Libertarian in Ghana, to the tune of "An Englishman in New York". I've been sleeping very early and getting up equally so, using the morning time to hammer out some sideline work, biting off as much as I can chew, as ever. It's something I said I could do in my sleep, so that's exactly the way I'm doing it. So far nobody is complaining, though I unwittingly provoked a massive confrontation between the advertising manager and the editor of the magazine. Unfortunately the main casualty seems to be a rather sweet little Chinese girl who was out hustling ads for the magazine; I liked her and had no desire to cause her trouble. So it goes: advertisers do not dictate editorial content (not here, anyway), and she was supposed to know that. If I wasn't half asleep I'd have spotted what was going on and dealt with it more tactfully, but it's water under the bridge now.
