Do you want to know about market maker manipulation in this stock? I have plenty of stories to tell. In late December the spread was 50 cents by a dollar with all the volume for the day being on the sell side. I put in an order to buy at 7/8 and the spread moves to 75 cents by $1.25. I cancel my order and put in one at 1 1/16 and amazingly the spread moves to 1 by 1 7/8. All this was with no volume traded. That is blatant manipulation if you ask me. Then again today I put in an order to buy at 1 3/8 when the the spread is 1 1/4 by 1 7/16 with the last trade on Friday at 1 5/16 (most likely on the sell side). Guess what happens? The spread moves on the bid to 1 11/32 by 1 7/16. Therefore making me pay the higher price. That is good news if they have 3 more new market makers. Why would the market makers be short on the stock?
