Mark -- What I am referring to here is the options pricing model which underlies ALL options. Volatile stocks are the second best place to play options. The very best place are stocks that are about to shift from low volatility to high volatility. Net stocks are a second best place for me to play -- by definition. The reason more people prefer volatile over non-volatile options plays is simply because it is harder to catch a quiet stock just before a big move....

I assume you are playing the stocks, so you have a different calculus. Sarmad has a different calculus also because he goes short. Anyone here playing for keeps has yet another calculus. You seem to like your charts -- which is very valuable to all of us. William keeps his ear to the ground -- again, very helpful. I tend to watch the weather -- sometimes I think this helps. Glenn checks these companies out to see if their stories hold water -- a very sobering undertaking with AMZN. Sarmad likes to decipher hourly blips and ticks -- etc., etc. and so on. I like this thread because many people share their styles and we can learn from each other.
