Mark -- As I have said, the very best net options play was the day before the last expiration buying calls -- I just could not bring myself to pull the trigger. Volatility in underlying values (stock price) drives the premiums up on options into the stratosphere -- making it really hard to make any money, and really easy to lose money if you are wrong. To make money off AMZN options you must do one of two things -- make a really gutsy call just before expiration or wait for a really big one-way move -- like from 199 down to 84 -- which I did. Even then it was almost not worth the hassle. Imagine what it would be like with the stock going nowhere as it has been for a few days? I will wait till I can smell AMZN's breath before I pull the trigger again.
