what you had for lunch today, was it still alive when you ate it.
I had gorilla soup as usual, thanks for asking. Yes, it was still alive, you should have heard the screaming. (similar to when you cook live Maine Lobster).
No, in that particular example you gave, the responsibility is the parents of the girl.
As I said, I acknowledge that the world is not perfect, and indeed there are many ugly situations.
But... and here is my point. I am sicken tired of the "bleeding hearts" that all they do is cry wolf, and stop.
You see, that is a cover up, for the following reason:
If you are "so concerned", then shut the cry-baby stuff up and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. I mean what's the point?
By having the sobbing attitude you create a false "safety net" of compassion that easily becomes the excuse/comfort zone for weak people to continue in their rat holes.
I believe that a positive attitude is far more helpful than a sobbing "feel sorry for you crap"
In other words, set the example by deed not by word.
I have never said that if YOUR inclination is to go and help the world, whether this is done by giving YOUR money away, or YOUR time, or YOUR labor is wrong. I have never said that. You are free to do with YOUR stuff as you wish.
But to create an aura of "guilt" by making people feel sorry for others and continuously preach how sorry the world in which we all live in is, and cry for the "good-old-days".... That I mind, because all it achieves is a bunch of doom and gloom of which no one can get out...
Like a self fulfilling prophesy, just repeat it enough times and you are going to start believing in it. Indeed, I think some people end up believing in it.
  Remember...?
I am falling and I can't get up.... (say it with a whiny voice please).
Like I said..... you think we are in such a rut... DO something about it.... otherwise... cry in silence please. |
