OFF TOPIC
You are welcome (re:985).
I have traded in and out of GERN twice. It is a stock that you want to either hold very long (after a lot of DD) and forget, OR watch like a hawk and position trade. Some people buy it after a press release hubbub deflates and then they wait for the next one to sell on the news. Apparently the last release did not bump the stock much (I follow the thread occasionally but not much else - I have never called their IR, for example).
From what I have read, Geron has good people associated with it and it is probably not a bad long term investment. There are a lot of unknowns with it (at least to me) so before taking a long term position in it, you should research it and the competition well. I think they are headed in the right direction but do not seem to have clinically useful (ie, useful today)applications yet. I do not know when they will bear fruit. I honestly haven't done enough research on it to take a serious long position in it.
Right now I am heavily invested in GUMM, a highly shorted low float company with a new blockbuster product and relatively new management (Zicam, a remedy for colds that works MUCH better than cold-eze, commercials started today on TV - see www.zicam.com) so I am "bio'd out" - and prefer to invest in internets/techs that I know like CMGI and GNET, as well as ETV, KIDE, and GUMM.
For the midterm, PFE has been and is a good bet for a huge drug stock. Just my opinion.
I am trying to buy more shares and own fewer stocks these days. Sorry if that is not enough quality and too much quantity.
Best of luck,
