Tip of Iceberg:

The second release today, that is, the cut release, is FAR MORE important than the "significant Loss" one.

Sanders specifically said that the 300 layoffs are just PART of the Restructuring Program; Scott Allen went on record saying''Some projects and product areas are going to be curtailed or eliminated, but we are not prepared to talk about that yet,'' and Toni Beckham confirmed that there will be more announcements on the restructuring as we go forward.

The plan at Sunnyvale is emerging that the company is focusing its resources on CPU area by reducing and eliminating NON-CPG groups.

Don't be surprised if we hear soon a BIG restructuring plan that may calls for big layoffs in Non-CPG areas.

AMD announcements and statements today strongly hinted the happening of the anticipated event.

The question is HOW the Street will view such big restructuring that may include big layoffs and elevate Atiq Raza quickly (he is at the center of CPG theater anyway) to a more central role at AMD?

Whether a MORE CPG centric AMD is good for the stock both short and long term?

Collectively, we should attempt to answer these questions!
