Volume is important because high volume confirms the significance of the move. Low volume on a rise to new highs often means a loss of momentum.

SEPR may be different. These comments are based on info in the market guide site. The link was posted in the Yahoo thread. It appears that 90% of the shares are now in the hands of institutions. Further, the stock appears to be under heavy accumulation. Some 5,000,000 shares were added to holding by institutions in the 3 months. If these shares are falling into stronger hands in such quantities, it won't take great volume to move the stock. There are also nearly 4,000,000 shares short that could add thrust to an up move.
