Frank, You posted old info from 1995 annual report. We investors only
care about what happens during the latest quater and what will happen
in the next several quarters. As we all know, a lot of things have
changed since 1995. For one thing, it appears now that Iomega has
no significant competitions to Zip or Jaz in terms of price/performance
and consumer acceptance. Zip also earned the title as the most
successful PC product introduction ever. Now it also appear that the
Jaz will also be a great hit, perhaps even a bigger hit. All these factors
were not known until recently after the 1Q96 report come out.

Iomega has no significant competition because no one out there owns
any patents on any competeting technology to Zip and Jaz that can compete in
terms of price/performance and consumer acceptance. In the data storage
business, if you can't compete in price/performance, you are dead
(see Syquest). The key here is PRICE and PERFORMANCE, not
just one or the other. Both Zip and Jaz has no competition here. Syquest
and Compag will loose big money and give up simply because they just
can not compete on price/performance with the Zip and Jaz.

New competitors are not likely enter the market any time soon after
hearing the announced new price targets for Zip and Jaz drives and
disks. They now also know how aggressive Iomega is at beating
down competitions with excellent products, great marketing, and a great
management team. Chances are good that most or all potential competitions
mentioned in 1995 annual report will be removed from 1996 annual report.
