Dear JD,
We are glad to hear you are pleased with our staff and we are eager to eliminate any and all problems you are currently experiencing with the software. We hear your concerns and greatly appreciate all feed back pinpointing areas needing work. In hopes of keeping you informed as to the status of all the issues you have pointed out we have felt it necessary to respond to your post.
1. the daily chart never works 1. We realize there is room for improvement here, and there are areas where additional features would be very useful. However, to the best of our knowledge our daily charts have been working properly. If possible, could you please call us or send us your number via the communicator so that one of our tech/trader support analysts can evaluate and trouble shoot your problem? If you are not getting any information on the chart whatsoever, it may be that there is a setting that needs to be adjusted.
2. they don't provide info and chart on a number of major indices, including S&P 2. This is a valid point that we have been trying to address for quite some time. You can rest assured that we are doing our best to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and are working to deliver a solution in the near future.
3. No news is available 3. Our goal is to provide news at the best price for our customers. We are happy to say that a contract has been finalized and we expect to begin news service by the end of the month.
4. I can't access the historical date from PCQuote to do my research at night though the company receives its data from PCQuote 4. Please note that our systems will be temporarily off line to perform daily maintenance each evening from 6 PM-6:30 PM EST. In our effort to improve and enhance the CyBerTrader system extended maintenance is periodically required. We are currently working on ways to better inform our traders of upcoming maintenance interruptions. In addition, our chart servers update daily market information each evening (after 6 PM EST) which takes them off line temporarily.
5. System has a funny way of breaking down on days that the market makes a big upward movement and is perfect for big profits 5. It is our objective to provide our customers with reliable and stable information at all times during the trading day. We regularly trouble shoot our systems and capacities to ensure optimal performance. However system failures can and do occur at multiple levels; many of which are beyond our control.
6. Most importantly, the program does not provide for alarm and signal based on percentage of change 6. You will be glad to know that we have already begun taking steps towards providing our customers with percentage change alert capability. Currently on our Alerts/Stop Loss/Conditional Order Entry Options, a trader can set up an alert based on percentage change. We hope to soon incorporate a TopTen Percentage change as well a percentage field on our MarketView.
7. By the time the stock symbol flashes on "approaching low or high window", even if you set the filter at the highest possible number "1/2", the stock has made its run and offers no exceptional opportunity. 7. The approaching High's and Low's is a great tool and I'm sorry to hear that you are not having any success in its use. One thing to keep in mind about the tool is that the ½ point threshold that you are set to results on giving you an alert, only if a trade comes through at exactly ½ point below the highest traded price. One thing you may want to try, is to lower the threshold to ¼ point. In addition, you may want to turn on your Daily Hi/Low Count, if it's not turned on already. This will enable you to quickly see if the stock it's breaking for the 1st time or the 30th time. If you continue to get little success, please contact our Trader Support department so that we can help you optimize the tool.
Please let us know if there are any other issues or concerns that you feel deserve our immediate attention. Thank you again for your post. We hope that we have shed some light on your concerns.
Sincerely, CyBerCenter Trader Support
