Department of Justice Requests Additional Information On Merger of Ascend Communications and Lucent Technologies
ALAMEDA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 9, 1999--Ascend Communications and Lucent Technologies have received a request for additional information from the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice (DOJ) in connection with the proposed merger announced on January 13, 1999.
Noting that such a request is not unusual in these circumstances, Ascend and Lucent both currently expect that the merger will be completed by June 30, 1999.
