OK, Let us guess there will someday never be another oz of silver used in the photo industry.
The nearer term future is also giving a new (perhaps greater) demand for silver.

The auto battery is near unchanged since 1900. If this new auto battery yields an improvement of 20% in wet cells it would better total of all improvements for last 25 years and most of us will use it in only a couple of years. Auto batteries are HEAVY(!!) if only 5% silver (by weight) it would be more silver demand than world can even guess!
