To All, 1. Slate has a good article about the Dell/IBM scam. They also decided it was just a PR move and of no significance over the next several years. However, they interpreted it as a sign that both businesses are healthy, while I saw it as a misdirect away from the problems at both cos.

2. Cowen & Co. downgraded Dell and MSFT on a survey that showed corporate buyers of pc boxes had taken a hike. CNBS announced it and it was funny, because goofy John Manley from Smith, Barney Fife had just recommended the techs for their strong business conditions and low valuations. <vbg> He looked totally befuddled, as though he had no idea that corporate pc sales were in the toilet. Folks, it is sad, but I don't think it's an act.
