John,

Thanks for the input from hands-on research!

I agree we are conservative with 80 orders per day. Charles Goyette said a range of 80-240 orders per day, per location. But what we don't know is if 80% profit margins is correct or not. It seems that this number could be optimistic, so hopefully we are in the ball park.

I don't know how to account for the cost of financing these machines. Apparantly they buy them for $500, but get $700 up front from the food suppliers. It seems to me that there are more costs here. If the story were this good, then we should tell the whole world to load up on Alanco shares.

What are we overlooking? What is wrong with this whole story? Wouldn't it be nice if they changed their corporate name to reflect their operations? Most investors don't like to see a company in two such disparate businesses... pollution control and food services. Imagine Waste Management and Coca-cola teaming up together!

I think ALAN shares are cheap and that short term pressures (lack of news, the convertible offering and overfocus on blue chips driving the DJIA to 7000) has kept Alanco from popping up. Either way, the fundamental story seems in tact, it's just a matter of recognition by other investors.

Good luck to us all!
