I don't know the specs for the microdrives, but I have a hard time believing they use less power and are more robust than flash, qualities I like in a mobile consumer product. Steve, You may want to read this site storage.ibm.com While this product doesn't have many of the great attributes of CF, it does meet those needs for digital cameras and portable devices and if the $/MB is much lower, then you make your choice. With CF type interfaces, it will be an automatic slip-in decision for digital cameras. And hard disk technology is still capable of higher MB drives within the same size package. One gigabyte microdrives probably aren't far away.
