Broadway, the Easy-to-Use Video Editing System Supports New Intel
Technology Delivering Real-Time MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 Encoding
Data Translation(R), (NASDAQ:DATX) a leader in the design, manufacture and marketing of high-performance digital video products and test and measurement systems, recently announced Broadway(TM) Pro 4.0, an enhanced version of its award-winning Broadway digital video editing product line. Users can capture analog video from camcorders or VCRs into the PC to be edited digitally, saved, or streamed over the Internet. Formally introduced at the recent Intel(R) Pentium(R) III Preview Day Event, Broadway Pro 4.0 is designed to take advantage of Pentium III processor technology to provide users with a compelling multimedia experience.
"Broadway Pro 4.0 packs professional-level features and years of digital video technology experience into a product optimized for PC users," said Fred Molinari, president and CEO of Data Translation. "And now that Pentium III machines are currently shipping, users can take immediate advantage of the most advanced video editing systems available for the PC."
Intel's new Pentium III processor technology allows Broadway to compress video in real-time to the MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 format, which enables shorter compression times. CD-ROM and Video CD multimedia authoring, Web authoring, and multimedia presentation authoring all benefit from video encoded in MPEG-1 and MPEG-2 format. The Pentium III processor accelerates the creation of high-resolution, smaller files that require less storage space on a PC.
