E-commerce strategy should begin to bear fruit in second half of year.

Baring Furman Selz analyst David Levy said Tuesday he
initiated coverage on GO2NET INC (85-13/32, up 18-21/32 @ 10:20
ET) with a strong buy. The company generates revenues through
advertising sales, subscription fees, and transactions over its
various Web properties. Go2Net's price target is $100, analyst
said. Among its properties are Silicon Investor, StockSite,
MetaCrawler, PlaySite, HyperMart, WebMarket and 100hot.com.
Viewership increased to 5.3 mln in January from less than 1 mln a
year ago. Compound annual revenue growth of more than 60% seen
through 2005.
E-commerce strategy should begin to bear fruit in
second half of year. Acquisitions could enhance current offerings.
Company is ''an ideal strategic partner'' for more traditional
media companies.
