Robert Bishop, writing in the Feb. 23, 1999 issue of his Gold Mining Stock
Report, says the Back Lake diamond project in the Northwest Territories is
Kalahari Resources' best prospect. Mr. Bishop recommended the Bert
Applegath play in January 1997 at 92 cents and in January 1998 at 61 cents.
It traded at 42 cents when he wrote his current report. Mr. Bishop notes
that Kalahari has a 19.38 per cent interest in Back Lake with another
Bishop recommendation, SouthernEra Resources. The much-followed letter
writer says that if the two are going to make a discovery at Back Lake,
this should be the year. He reasons that multiple mineral trains with
excellent chemistry have been defined and will be investigated
"aggressively." Further, he says, if nothing is found then funding will be
difficult for this and other Northwest Territories projects, which makes it
in the partners' interests to work for early success. Kalahari is also the
biggest land holder on the Faja de Plata trend near the San Nicolas
discovery in Zacatecas, Mexico.
