mb, >>>'d love to hear your estimates for the future. We could compare notes, wait a few years, and see how Intel does. <<<

I'm expecting and hoping for 20 - 40 % eps growth going forward (5 years) and slightly higher (10 - 20 %) top line growth this year and next followed by > 30% growth starting 2001 because of Merced, Level 1, and other investments start to kick in. I believe that the Internet is a genuine phenomenon and will have commensurate global impact. Microproccessors with Intel Architecture will be at the heart of this phenomenon and Intel will have good eps growth getting these processors connected. I am sure that intel will be just as important as a company five years from now, but I couldn't be at all sure that AMZN, AOL, AMD, YHOO, EBAY, ET AL will have the same importance five years hence.

My comments (bias) here on this thread reflect the stock's weight in my portfolio (a lot greater than 10%) and my concern with your comments are that they may not be sincere.

If you are making very strong comments here on this thread and not backing up those comments with commensurate investment action then I think you are trying to deceive us for some bizarre reason.

I don't care what the dollar amounts are wrt your investments - (that is a matter as you say only between you and the IRS). But, if your investments are a miniscule (as I suspect)portion of your total portfolio than you should state that and we can view your comments in the proper perspective.

Sincerely,

Mary
