Fort Project, B.C. - agreement amended

Terms of the Fort property option have been amended to defer additional property payments until February 28, 2000.

The property is situated at the south end of Babine Lake, B.C. some 20 miles southeast of the Granisle Mine copper-gold porphyry deposits. Eastfield optioned the property in late 1997 based on a new copper-molybdenum-silver discovery made during logging road construction.

The mineralization is hosted in siliceous breccias (with intrusive clasts), altered metavolcanic rocks and monzonite to granodiorite dykes. One of the dykes has been dated at 52 million years, age comparable to the Bell/ Granisle mine intrusions

The breccias are exposed discontinuously over a 1000 foot diameter area. Poor exposure has made sampling difficult, resulting in erratic results with copper assays ranging from less that 0.1% to greater than 10%. Higher copper values occur with up to 12 ounces per ton of silver.

A 17 mile induced polarization survey was completed in 1998, outlining two >12.5 mv/v chargeability anomalies with the northern anomaly (including the mineralized discovery breccia) measuring 1200 feet by 2000 feet. The southern anomaly, with responses in excess of 40 mv/v, measures 1200 feet by 2800 feet. Both anomalies are interpreted to indicate strong sulfide mineralization systems.

Eastfield has received a "licence-to-cut" authorizing construction of 1.2 miles of drill access road and is seeking a joint venture partner to fund a 1999 diamond drill program on the Fort project.
