John, re your 3050, with the volume that I see right now, 341K shares with one and one half hours to go today, and the price staying at between 1 3/16 x 1 1/4, I see nothing to lead me to believe that it will go much higher (or lower) today. So this led me to do some more research. Here is something I learned from bloomberg.com. It is the press release from 3/5 written by the business and technology writers for Business Wire. I am excerpting as follows: 1. Ultrasound, as a technology, cannot be patented. Microphonics' unique "signature sound" method is currently in the patent-pending stage. The company presently holds the following trademarks: Microphonics TM, Ultraphonics TM, Soundlogic TM. Here is my take on this. It makes sense to me that ultrasound can not be patented. Now one of the three Microphonics, Inc. divisions, Soundlogic, develops software. It must be marketing its product(s)using the Soundlogic TM. As I see it, this software is what MRPS says makes the differentiation between it and CTRL. The diagnostics inherent under the Soundlogic TM used in the software included in the A07 and 111RCK models, sold by the Microphonics and Ultraphonics divisions, respectively, is what gives the "quality" that differentiates MRPS units from CTRL and other competitors' units. And, speaking of CTRL, the press release(PR) says," Microphonics believes that units produced by its competitors including CTRL, do not produce the quality of the results of our current units, which have gone through five (5) generation changes." MRPS did not say that their units were better. We haven't heard that there are any head-to-head comparisons with CTRL and other competitors. CTRL so far has been silent on this assertion by MRPS. I will relate more PR later on today. Vic |
