I wouldn't exactly call $9.50 as "falling dramatically". Usually price falls near second half of Mar - end of month/q/year for most Jap./Koreans etc. etc. They all try to push as much inventory out as possible to dress up balance sheet.

At 0.21um, $9.50 is probably close to double manufacturing cost if the process yields. If MU can get $9.50 for the Q + yielding & without the old TI fabs, they would be laughing all the way to the banks like Samsung is doing now.

PS, in my opinion, DRAM price need to do one more drop to $7.50 to ensure that Hyundai/LG will leave the market for sure. At $9.50, they will continue to tough it out to try to get to the next round.
