Paula Ebert, a spokeswoman for Ameritrade, said the online broker "was not down" in the morning, but "due to heavy volume" some members may have had to attempt to log on two or three times before getting access. glad to see they are keeping with their promises and upgrading systems to absorb the influx of trading volumes and accounts. Only been shooting their mouths off about it for close to a year. "They may just be timing out on their first time," she said. Now i thought they offered FAST accurate executions? What a load of crap. I placed a limit order in today on a stock 1/2 below the highest bid. It took a phone call and 8 minutes for it to appear on my L2 screen. I eventually got the order filled, but over 15 minutes to get confirmation.
