Company Press Release
PanAmerican BanCorp Announces Symbol and CUSIP Change
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Hauppauge, NY - March 9, 1999 - PanAmerican BanCorp announces that it has been assigned the new equity symbol "PABN" and commenced trading on the Over The Counter Bulletin Board on March 8, 1999. The company is in the process of completing the transition from the previous symbol, PRWT, to PABN by notifying financial professionals, industry professionals and investors as rapidly as possible. In conjunction with the symbol change, a new CUSIP has been implemented: 69829X-10-1.

"We want all PRWT shareholders to know that there will be a one-for-one exchange of PRWT for PABN," said John Schmitz, President, PanAmerican BanCorp. "One share of PRWT equals one share of new PABN."

PanAmerican BanCorp's previous symbol, PRWT, belonged to Purewater Sciences International, Inc., and was used by PanAmerican since the acquisition last year. The PABN symbol was previously assigned to a West Coast corporation, which subsequently underwent its own merger and now trades under a new symbol.

Financial professionals, current stockholders, prospective investors and other interested parties are encouraged to use PABN:BB in order to retrieve accurate updated quotations on PanAmerican BanCorp. Management intends to complete the transition from its former symbol to PABN as soon as possible.
