To All, Major kudos to David Tice. He was the first to mention on alleged business news network, CNBC, that pc sales were negative in 1998. Hey, it is only March 9. They can't be expected to get the news too fast. <g> At least, Tice's mention is the first I've seen on Bubblevision.
Poor old mental dwarf, Bill Griffin, made the same misleading statement several times: "we get these warnings about a slowdown in pc sales every year at this time and they never materialize." Uh, yeah, Bill the Corporate Shil, they have been materializing for at least the last three years, with major league slowdowns in growth rates in 1996, 1997 and, finally, negative growth in 1998.
When Tice mentioned negative revenues in 1998, Bill made the brain-dead reply, "isn't that just splitting hairs?" Tice had the courage to tell him, no, down is down. It isn't splitting hairs to call down, down. <g> Of course, he was polite. I would have used a paraphrase of the "what part of no don't you understand?" question women always ask me: "what part of 'down' isn't computing in your wee mind?"
Admittedly, a small victory for the forces of enlightenment and truth, but it is nice to see the truth finally mentioned on all day Bubblevision.
