I will tell what Barrick will do next.

Thks to for a a really good thread. Those of us who have stuck
around have been rewarded.

Barrick will not knock heads with Newmont. They don't have to!
Having recently bought Sutton in Tanzania and paying a "full price" for it by thier own admission --they will further invest in Tanzania, they have to!!

You will all agree that at $300/gold the majors have to seek out LOW
COST gold properites cause no telling how long we're at $300!

In Tanzania last yr Ashanti bought Samax for $7.94/sh and now
Barrick buys Sutton for about C$13.00/sh. these properites are all
in the Lake Victoria "Greenstone Belt" well known for its rich
gold anomolies and proven reserves.
Sutton has 8.8 Mil oz(possibly as much as 10-12 Mil Oz)

Just next door to Sutton (< 30km) in a area called "Tulawaka"
are two juniors Pagea (PGD-T) and Minere du Nord (MDN-M) which
have a joint partership and are drilling on several anomolies as I write this . They have already released several assay results during the last yr or so.(eg . some very exiteing 145.27 gm/ton over 5 meters)

PGD & MDN have contracted with a very repected "independent" consulting engineering company to confirm reserves estimates.

When Sutton started thier project they had very little gold reserves
in the first 40-80 meters. BUT the "Tulawaka" anomolies are rumoured to have 1 to 2 million oz in the first 40 -80 meters at a production
cost of < $50/ton! and the lower geology will prove to be as rich
as Sutton if not richer!
I believe the PGD & MDN joint venture in Tulawaka (and other ajacient
owned anomolies will be bigger than Sutton find.

Thats what Barrick is waiting for. They just didn't fly there blindly
buying Sutton at a "full price". They will have to buy the two
juniors PGD & MDN which will soon confirm reserves --and low cost
at that!!
Road and rail run just nearby Tulawaka property and it will be a chinch to transport mineralization to Barrick(Sutton) planned mine production facilities <30 km)

Combined Sutton and PGD / MDN will provide Barrick with over
20 million + oz gold reverves to produce. Thats why Barrick was
so hard on Argenina Gold they had other choices!

If Barrick does not move on PGD/MDN others will. Rumours have it
that recently other majors have made low ball vebal offers for these two. Newmont have visited thier sites.

Have known about this PGD / MDN play for about a yr now and recently
added more with the Argentina Gold profits and especially Barrick
buying Sutton. Its up to you?

If you want more info contact Canaccord Capital. Analyst Graeme Currie
(604-643-7405). He has recently visited Tanzania and in particular
the Tulawaka site!

PREDICTION: PGD will be bought for about $ 7.00 and MDN for about $3.00 at least!!!

NO I am not associated with any of above!!!
Good Luck
