Speaking of tongue (as opposed to speaking in tongues) I was at the Safeway and saw a very nice calves tongue, and picked it up, and checked the price - $14!!! It was $4.99 a pound. Yikes. I put it back down and got steak instead, same price. Tongue is ok if you are able to feel frugal while eating it. But that's not what you meant, was it?<g>

I think Polartec is made from recycled polypropelene, which seems as if it ought to be icky, but it's not. I am wearing a pair of Polartec pants, I have several, and I live in them during the winter. They are actually much nicer than cotton, they "breathe" so no sweaty, clammy feeling, but when cotton gets wet it is heavy and takes a long time to dry. I got the legs of these pants pretty soaked carrying loads of groceries in, but they are nice and warm and dry now. Didn't take long.

I love silk. One of the benefits of commerce with China. What will become of us when China gets like Japan, everyone is too well-off to work in the silk mines?
