That 105 million lines of code support quite a large number of graphics cards. I would like to know how much of the code is specific to certain cards and how much is the guts of the X-windows software. Anyway, I was stunned to see that a group of volunteers could write 105 million lines of code. I think the Win2000 number might be for the core OS. To compare apples and apples we would need to know how many lines of code comprises graphics drivers for Win 2000 plus what part of that 35 million is devoted to the GUI. Tom, any idea how many lines of code in the Linux OS not including the 105 million for X. Kirk
