Hi Ausdauer - AFCI is my top choice for high growth w/ low relative risk at current levels. The safer play is LU, NT, ALA...of this group the best value is NT and maybe ALA after their Xylan purchase.

Do you have your eyes on any other players?

Pairgain has been mentioned in the past but I do not think they are a pure play in xdsl. I have noticed that PacBell (my regional carrier) is promoting their xdsl services. The cost per month for unlimited usage is $60/month about twice what I am paying for my wireless carrier Ricochet. However the PacBell thru-put is about 100 times better!

If they can get it down to $30/month, I will probably sign up.

PacBell uses the AFCI hardware in their new network.

EKS

P.S. Another stock that has hit my radar screen for their new technology and huge potential growth is a local company here in Silicon Valley called Echelon Corporation (ELON). I will be switching 1/3 of my investment in AFCI (after we reach $12-$15) to ELON. Long term ELON could be a big winner. I am still doing my due diligence and have yet to visit the company but have talked to one of their head engineers....their vision two to three years out is huge!
