I would love to know why, exactly, the talks with Sol6 were broken off. Better yet, why they were started and by whom?

I'm begining to think that almost any combination makes sense as long as they get on with it. BI and KM - not that implausible a combo. Despite Mr. Tyler's remarks about the fit, HUM's BI sales were 25% of total sales last quarter and growing rapidly and I don't see anything wrong with having 'legacy' communications products, with high margins, hanging around for awhile.

MacDonalds might be looking for a KM partner!

Some aspects of the HUM/DOCS combo, double cheese if you please, make a lot more sense than Sol6/DOCS, to me. I see HUM having an easier time promoting DM/KM technology as items closer to commodities rather than the opposite. I feel the industry needs to lean that way rather than large, high end, overly complex and expensive, professional services driven engines.

I wonder what Sol6 would have liked to do with the DOCS Inc. part of the puzzle.

Of the three - DOCS + HUM; DOCS + Sol6; DOCS + MacDonalds - I like DOCS + HUM the best. If Ray Kroc were still around, well, maybe that would be different.

I also wonder what is next on Mr. Sorkin's shopping list.

Reaction in the market easing off today.

Wondering + Scratching.
