(Boise, Idaho) Kipp Bedard told the Montgomery Securities investment conference here last week that DRAM prices are holding firm and that the shortage continues... ...For its part, Micron is doubling its wafer capacity in the next year techweb.com And the weekly chart: bigcharts.com Do you think CNBC will ever figure out that those conferences are basically sales presentations? Whoever fed them the garbage that went into this morning's "report" on their presentation damn well realizes it. I'm sure they were pleased with the early morning run. In the meantime, TSC has a Cramer piece yesterday relaying a blurb from his partner Jeff Berkowitz--a guy who knows the drill, knows how to listen to a conf. presentation and whose purpose at the conference is to relay the best possible info to his firm--and he's not as positive. thestreet.com In the meantime, last night's Fleck piece mentions that Soundview is saying something about supply from Samsung possibly hitting the market. But no, CNBC goes with an anonymously sourced overgeneralization. Unbelievable. Good trading, Tom P.S. I'm more of an "egghead" than a nerd <g>
