A change of heart....
Bishop says things looking up for Aurado Aurado Exploration Ltd AEO Shares issued 41,308,610 Mar 9 close $0.065 Tue 9 Mar 99 In the News Robert Bishop, writing in the Feb. 23, 1999 edition of his Gold Mining Stock Report, says Aurado Exploration is a hold at seven cents. Mr. Bishop recommended the stock in May 1998 at 28 cents amid optimism for a joint venture with a Cominco subsidiary. The joint venture was formed to explore Cominco's property at San Nicolas, Mexico, acquired ahead of Western Copper's discovery in late 1997. In his recommendation, Mr. Bishop noted the quality of Aurado's managerial and technical teams, as well as the quality of its land holdings. By January 1999, however, with the stock at 6.5 cents, Mr. Bishop had lost his taste for Aurado and said he planned to sell during the year. In the current report, the respected California letter writer's optimism has returned somewhat. He notes that the joint venture with Cominco planned to begin drilling at the Amapola claim group at the end of February, and may begin testing others. Further, he says, the Aurado market has shown recent, though negligible, signs of improvement. "And where the drills are turning, there is at least the prospect" of regaining some losses on Aurado. |
