More of that March 9, 1999 Comline via COMTEX news release, which shouldn't be considered current "Iomega news":

<< .... It holds 40 MB in a disk less than 2-mm thick and 50-mm across. The disk was developed by the Utah firm Iomega, which began offering its own 10-mm drive last December for $199. Initially, NEC Tochigi, a wholly owned subsidiary, will produce the new drives, but production may be shifted overseas if the market expands. Matsushita and Citizen have also purchased licenses from Iomega. .... >>

I think for some unknown reasons, Iomega doesn't want to issue any of its own positive news releases now ....or there is simply no news in Iomega's view ....

"The disk was developed by the Utah firm Iomega, which began offering its own 10-mm drive last December for $199.": So the current external Mobile Clik! drives from Iomega are based on 10mm drives ..... and NEC can trim them down to 6.5mm and eventually 5mm besides doing the USB interface? I thought only Citizen is doing the trimming ....

Just a lay stockholder's humble opinions and questions. As "usaul", I may be wrong.
