I have been studying investment opps in winter sports for a few years now. Here is my assessment.

Skiing has been a flat industry for 10 years. But the parabolics are reviving it. A company which makes bindings will benefit no matter which ski wins.

Snowboarding markets are saturated with competition and there are low barriers to entry. Money will be made by a company which can successfully market stepin bindings which have been slow in R and D and to the market. Switch bindings are a huge hit.

There is a company which will win on both counts....Marker International MRKR. They are trading really cheap to sales now and the have fifty percent of the binding market and just bought DNR, a company which IMHO makes a comparable binding to Switch. Its trading at 5...I look at this as a potential three bagger.

See MRKR thread under Misc-general.
