Brian:

I'm pulling for 3Com, Cisco and Bay to kick their butt out of NIC's. Intel tried to get in the modem business and they got their kister handed back to them on a silver plater. I think 3Com will come out the winner in this battle. However it should increase the overall demand for CPU's and maybe that's Intel's goal all along any way.

What do you think of the 3Com meltdown and the drop for the whole sector except Cisco? I decided to take the plunge and purchased my first position in the company on Monday at $37.50.
So far its looking like a pretty good move. I feel it may have some tough days still a head but for the long term it seemed like a no brainer.

How do you think all of this might effect AMD's networking division?
AMD produces a lot of chips for ethernet products.
