Hi Greg:
Somewhat OT
I've been looking high and low for some photos of what goes on in Ireland and China.
This is one old (1998)item on the Limerick operation which at least shows what a fierce competitor Dell is:
austin360.com
Its rather wordy but as true today as ever.
>>>> The PC business has always been fiercely competitive, and that will continue as key battlegrounds shift around the world.
The coming battle is in Europe, but Dell also is planting its stake in other markets. The company is building a small manufacturing and sales facility in China, another country with huge potential. Later
this year comes a factory in South America, probably Brazil.
"The way I think about it is, look, there's 300 million PCs in the world today," Dell said. "About 30 percent get replaced every year.
Ten years from now there will be 1.4 billion machines. "I mean this is the beginning of an industry.">>>
