Interesting comment from Tony Blair (UK PM) points out why we won't give in to "misinformational terrorism". I'm sure this feeling is stronger yet on the US side, and explains why the US is prepared to back up its position with whatever trade measures it needs to...via WTO or punitive import tariffs as it sees fit.

(quotes from the Prime Minister)
'There is no scientific evidence on which to ban GM foods and crops.

'If we were to ban products that our independent scientific advisors tell us are safe, we would send a negative message to the whole biotech industry in the UK - in healthcare as well as in food and agriculture - that its future will be governed not by evidence but by media scares.'

(my additional comment)
So, apparently the US and UK really DO see this crap coming out of Greenpeace et al. as terrorism, as I have been saying. And, the *last* thing the US will do is give into terrorism, in any form. As US citizens or Monsanto investors, we must not give into terrorism either, or we become part of the problem.
