Back in 1996, Delta had a complaint that the Magal system couldn't keep up with their 1,200 bags/hour requirement. Maybe that's it. By focusing on quality, Magal loses the larger airport accounts. If quantity is high in priority for FAA approval, then FAA approval may not be pertinent or appropriate for airports that want no sacrifices based on quantity.
