WHAT: Representing a rapidly growing consortium of over 500 member companies, Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) founding members Ericsson, IBM, Intel, Nokia and Toshiba will unveil the official Bluetooth name and logotype, as well as publicly demonstrate the latest innovations in wireless, short-range Bluetooth radio technology. Illustrating seamless connection and communication between a wide range of mobile devices, the SIG founding companies will showcase Internet access via a completely wireless connection routed through a mobile phone to a notebook PC, as well as rapid wireless transmission of a digital photograph directly to a mobile PC using Bluetooth-enabled cameras and mobile phones. Also featured will be PC to PC file transfer and message generation/transmission using a Bluetooth-enabled mobile PC linked to the cellular network via a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone access point.
The five founders will sponsor a joint demonstration showcase, located in the Intel booth (Hall 13 Stand C 31).
