Go2Net Unveils National Advertising Campaign for the Go2Net Network 'What's Next' Debuts in USA Today
SEATTLE, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Go2Net, Inc. (Nasdaq: GNET - news), a network of branded, technology and community-driven Web sites, today introduced its first national offline brand advertising campaign, designed to generate consumer and Internet industry awareness of Go2Net and the Go2Net Network ( go2net.com ). Developed under the tagline of 'What's Next' with the Seattle-based Hadley Green Advertising agency, Go2Net's first creative campaign, 'When You're Done Surfing,' debuts today with a full-color ad in USA Today.
''The Go2Net Network has steadily grown into one of the Internet's most popular destinations without any concerted advertising efforts, and the next step is to apply an innovative mix of strategies to introduce millions of additional Internet users to Go2Net,'' explained John Keister, Go2Net President. ''We're excited about the scope and creativity of the brand advertising program and believe it will be an instrumental part of the Go2Net Network's continued growth.''
Through 1999, Go2Net's print advertising program will extend to such outlets as Wired, The Industry Standard, MediaWeek and AdWeek, among others. The company will also undertake a targeted national outdoor advertising campaign, focused on five major markets: New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston and San Francisco. Go2Net will also integrate a variety of online advertising programs with its offline efforts.
''It sometimes takes Internet users a while to surf around before they can truly appreciate the differential benefits the Go2Net Network offers,'' said Dick Hadley, president of Hadley Green Advertising. ''We've developed a very memorable program to let people know that when they're done surfing and ready to have the most efficient, productive and satisfying experience possible, Go2Net is the place to be.''
