Did anyone take notice that a corp. has filed suite against an anonymous poster on the yahoo board? I feel that this is just the beginning and in the future you will see many more actions taken by both those that are being libeled and those that are affected by the libel. I firmly believe in free speech. However, in order to change one's name he must go through a legal process. Did you ever stop to wonder why? Perhaps it is so because we wish to preserve the concept of free speech. Also, we want the speakers to be responsible for the words that they speak. As such it is imperative that the speaker can be identified.

Please say whatever it is that you desire but show us all that you are person enough to stand behind and defend your statements. If you must throw stones be big and identify yourself. Remember, in order to post on SI you were required to furnish the web with a document through which you could be traced.
