Actually, Peppe, the T - NT relationship is old news too. Around the time of the TCG takeover, Armstrong announced that T would use NT's DMS family at the edge of its voice network rather than divert LU / Bellabs attention from more strategic R&D. If memory serves me correctly, it would have taken more than $1B of R&D for LU to deliver the voice products that Nortel already have. It seems that this is just the next step in that announcement from about a year or so ago. At that time, Nortel's stock went from just under $60 Cdn to over $66Cdn within a day. FWIW, Ian.
