Maybe, although I would hesitate before condemning a whole generation. I do know that the Clintons, though at the other end of the Boom, bugged me early on because they reminded me of many people I had known who combined careerism with smug moral superiority, the "yuppie liberal" type. When I was a teenager, I worked in a local campaign office for McGovern, and become uncomfortably familiar with the type.
