J. C. C. Fan B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley; M.S. and Ph.D. (1972) in applied physics from Harvard University; only then did he go to Lincoln Lab. So, M.I.T. is not wholly responsible. He lives in the same town as Michael S. Dukakis. Which reminds me: A fish rots from the head. When the Duke was governor, the Commonwealth helped Kopin get located in their Taunton facility, with some Fanfare. That was a long time ago...
