How much has Nortel Networks spent on its new branding campaign, including ads in the Wall Street Journal (which is a Dow Jones company)? But for some reason, the Dow Jones reporter keeps referring to the company as Northern Telecom. If Nortel Networks expects to get the attention of Wall Street, it needs to learn how to spend its money to get results. With all of that money spent, they could have hired a college intern to send e-mail to various search engines and reporters to let them know of the name change. Yahoo! still lists the company name as Northern Telecom at biz.yahoo.com. If Nortel expects to get the respect of Wall Street, they need to earn it, and they certainly aren't impressing me with the management of one of their valuable assets, their name.

I hope they take the appropriate steps to remedy this problem soon.
