Yogi,

Why wouldn't the next logical step for these machines prove to be archival? Are you really going to store 6 hours of content on a replay box and then off-load it into your VCR (would take 6 hrs?)?

Wouldn't you just 1394 (jack included in the replaytv product ... USB 2 if you prefer) it into a dedicated move storage box ... or some such product? If this does not get produced by the makers of the replay boxes, someone will make it ... I would make it (if I weren't such a idiot).

Or, wouldn't the machines ultimately become archival, because that is a solid chunk of what people would want anyway?

Just some thoughts. Have no idea what the TAM is ... beyond my willingness to buy just about anything new and different ... I have no idea who else would want such a thing ... but, at attractive price points, why not?
