Steve,

Now, now! I did not say Cook's strategies were bad or the first to write about covered calls. I only indicated that the "Cook book" would leave you cooking noodles in a downward price movement because not enough information is provided on what to and how to take advantage of sudden option depreciation.

The assumption is that the stocks will go mostly up and then reverse as part of a obvious pattern called a "rolling stock." The question is, will most investors stick it out and buy more stock shares at the bottom of the move? That is very hard for young investor to swallow. It goes against all human instincts. How would you know what is the normal pattern for the stock or bigger problems?

What is your meter gauge?
