Mark,

RDRT is sounding scary. I'm getting some word from within that is unsettling and I hope to get more details before going into any further details.

I believe RDRT is supplying GMR heads to MXTR but they're not the only ones. The key here is who gets the lion share of the business.

GMR will be announced in all new drive products by October. Volume shipments are another story.

At this point, the PC OEMs don't give "two hoots and a hollar" about "GMR Inside" on the desktop. They want low price. They have capacity now so unless GMR buys them something (and it only buys capacity) the HDD folks will have a hard sell 'cause the GMR transition will cost.

Issues alone in GMR ESD are giving folks fits relative to yields.

So while the GMR transition will help HTCH when it gets into full swing, the question is, when "is full swing"?

Regards,
LT
